LinkUpArts (LUA) began its association with DAO in 2011. We are a small and complicated organisation committed to the arts.
Disability Arts is at our core; promoting, encouraging and facilitating artists (variously disabled) is our passion; spreading the creative message to all art-lovers, makers, dreamers and dabblers is our aim.
LUA has a small committee, a creative director and a paid coordinator. It has battled with the complexities of its mission since its conception and has acquired a rich history in the process. Gini, creative director and currently (2012) also the paid coordinator, has seen the organisation through various guises, battling to keep it on track while giving the changing coordinators space to bring in their own skills and contribute to LUA’s development.
